We were so excited to find these Robert Bissell 2012 Rabbit wall calendars. This artist grew up on a farm in England immersed in the beauty and fascination of the natural world.  His painting of wild animals - from rabbits and butterflies to bears, birds and frogs - are playful meditations on the inner lives of those creatures and, by extension, of human creatures. Influenced by the surrealism of Rene Magritte, Bissell mixes scales and uses gigantism in his animal vignettes, as evidenced by this calendar's twelve imaginative studies of wild rabbits - solitary, in groups, and interacting with other creatures. Now a resident of Northern California, Bissell regularly exhibits his paintings in museums and galleries across the United States and Europe.
